A Message From Sweden CeylonPedal 2025
A Swedish expatriate with a deep affection for Sri Lanka, having lived and worked there, is organizing a unique 12-day cycling tour across the island nation with a group of long-time friends. This ambitious “Ceylon Pedal 2025” trip aims to promote a more active and healthy form of tourism in Sri Lanka, moving beyond typical beach vacations. Partnering with the Sri Lankan company “Sailon us,” the venture seeks to offer a culturally immersive experience, navigating challenges like intense heat, potential wildlife encounters, and logistical complexities, while providing support like luggage transport and emergency vans. Ultimately, the organizer hopes this initiative will not only be a personal adventure but also inspire further development of adventure tourism in Sri Lanka, fostering collaboration with local communities and politicians.
